A Message From Jess

Chloe isn't the type to just disappear. She's a dedicated student. She was working on a thesis project about indigenous flora resilience in industrialized zones. She told me she was going out to the marshlands behind the old Langtang Applied Chemistry facility to take some soil samples. She said the plant life there was mutating in a way that didn't make ecological sense.

She never came home.

The local police (Officer Vance, our uncle) told me not to make a fuss. He said she probably just went camping. But her car was found abandoned on an access road two miles from the facility. The trunk was open, and all her sampling equipment was missing.
